Cooking Risotto on Weekend Today in NY

    homecooksuperstar:

This morning I had the pleasure of showing Erika Tarantal how to make mushroom risotto for one. Check out the segment and give the recipe a shot. If you want to make the recipe for more than one, just remember to use a ratio of 1 part rice to at least four parts broth.

“Cooking” on TV like you’ve been doing it forever. Well done, SMS!

When I was in independent producer, you made a deal with the network and you were responsible financially and creatively. Nowadays there are no real independent producers. BLUE BLOODS is produced by CBS Studios for the CBS network. I don’t quite have the financial responsibility for the show so I don’t have the creative freedom I used to have.

Leonard Goldberg, veteran TV producer responsible for some of my favorite TV programming, including CHARLIE’S ANGELS and BRIAN’S SONG, and at age 77 is still going strong.

“Let us be lovers, we’ll marry our fortunes together…”

Crowley just likes to steal cameras from reporters and then pretend he’s a morning shock-jock then force them to eat persimmons.

Pretty much, Sarah Lacy. Pretty much.

Sneak peek of BRICK CITY Season 2. Premieres Jan 30 on Sundance Channel.

I find it a little disconcerting when the president of a network looks better than the talent on the shows.

Commenter on this Ad Age article re: IFC/SUN president Evan Shapiro. My follow-up comment to Evan: “Let’s just hope Fred Armisen doesn’t read this.”

Interesting to see a TV network leveraging a trend popularized by restaurants and retailers.

It’s on tonight. Episodes 1 & 2 of GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS premiere at 10p on Sundance Channel. Hope all you diva velvet glam fruit flies & your gay hubs tune in.

When a friend makes HuffPo for redefining the phrase “I killed,” it’s an instant reblog. You’re officially off the hook for being out-of-town when I was in LA, Kaler.

    thedailywhat:

Choking Back Laughter of the Day: Stand-up comic Jamie Kaler (most recently of MY BOYS fame) nearly killed with comedy at a recent show when an audience member began choking to the point of requiring the Heimlich maneuver.

The woman in question recovered, which is lucky for Kaler, because jokes about an audience member choking at your show are significantly funnier when the person survives.

    (sNSFW, f-bombs and such.)
