I followed the link in Ricky’s post about 4 Months to Lindsay’s blog and then to the coverage of the movie’s positive reviews on Jezebel and NYMag.com, sites I read regularly but for various reasons (Sundance, obligatory post-Sundance illness, all-consuming work project) hadn’t visited in the past few days. While it was great to read heaps of praise from critics and commenters alike, I was disheartened that few reviews mention the film’s simultaneous availability on On Demand. IFC in Theaters (the brand under which we release our films On Demand) is carried by Comcast, Cablevision, Time Warner and dozens of smaller cable systems. There’s no need to wait for a wide release or a slow art-house roll-out. You can watch the movie RIGHT NOW! I want to shout this from the rooftops. I’m hoping posting this to tumblr might have virtually the same effect.
