Hi! I'm Lisa. I work in TV and film as writer, producer & editor. This is my blog about the work I do and the news, trends and technologies that touch it. With the occasional totally unrelated bits thrown in.

A week-long celebration of past and future gems from IFC Films’ catalogue of “important foreign and independent films,” including pre-release screenings of Gus Van Sant’s Paranoid Park, Hou Hsiao-hsien’s Flight of the Red Balloon, Claude Chabrol’s A Girl Cut in Two, and Christophe Honoré’s modern Parisienne musical (and personal favorite on our current slate) Love Songs. The series also includes the US premiere of Ken Loach’s excellent It’s a Free World, and re-release screenings of Hou Hsiao-hsien’s Three Times and Christophe Honoré’s Dans Paris. In all, a wonderful program of diverse and lovely foreign films that I encourage you to see. The series runs Feb. 26 - March 6. Tickets are available online, by phone (718.777.FILM), and at BAM Rose Box Office.
I edited trailers for several of these films, which I’ll pull out of the archives and post when I can.
