Christophe Honoré is a talented young French director telling decidely post-modern stories. LOVE SONGS, his latest, is a vibrant, romantic musical about three young lovers starring the delicious Louis Garrel, and one of my favorite films on the IFC slate this year. It’s uplifting and heart-breaking as only French cinema can be.
Honoré and Garrel are in town this weekend for the film’s screenings at Rendez-vous with French Cinema and the BAMcinématek Tribute to IFC Films, where the duo’s previous film, DANS PARIS, is also screening.
