Have you been offered granola bars or crackers for free in Union Square recently? I haven’t bit, but my guess is that someone’s trying to convert me.

Not granola bars, but last night my friend and I were walking on 23rd between 6th & 7th and were offered free ice cream bars.  I don’t know why it unnerved me — as far as I could tell when glancing over to see what the eff this stranger was saying to us, the packages were sealed — but it did.  Maybe it seemed strange to me because it didn’t appear to seem strange to her.
