Hi! I'm Lisa. I make videos about TV and movies. This is my tumblelog about the work I do and the news, trends and technologies that touch it, with the occasional totally unrelated bits thrown in. You'll find me at/on/around gmail, vimeo, and twitter.

Those of you who trusted my recommendation to tune in to Mad Men should check out Architecture School, which premieres tonight at 9pm on Sundance Channel.  The six-part documentary series follows a group of students compete to design and build a low-cost single-family home in New Orleans through Tulane University’s URBANbuild program.  But beyond that, it’s about the continuing struggles of neighborhood residents to rebuild their lives and revitalize their community after Hurricane Katrina.  This dual-perspective approach to storytelling makes for an incredibly layered and compelling show that’s getting great reviews.  Anyone interested in architecture, design, New Orleans, socio-economic issues, and urban development should tune in.  Episodes are also available On Demand and on iTunes.
