Why would YouTube make every single player 16:9 when most videos are 4:3? Are they not technically able to differentiate the two? That’s just sad.
It’s the same experience a viewer has when watching SD material on an HD television. It’s conceivable YouTube is trying to replicate that, although why they’d mimic what most of us consider one of television’s limiting factors is beyond me.
