Hi! I'm Lisa. I work in TV and film as writer, producer & editor. This is my blog about the work I do and the news, trends and technologies that touch it. With the occasional totally unrelated bits thrown in.

It’s been two years since I was run down by a van on the corner of Delancey and Allen.
The pain has long since passed, and I’m only slightly lame. Running isn’t easy, although it’s getting easier.
My memories of the months following the accident aren’t primarily about the devastating and constant pain. I’m not good at remembering pain, thankfully.
What I remember best is the love and help of my friends. So let me address them directly.
You guys are incredible. The incredible sadness of being crippled was greatly lifted by everything every one of you did for me. My recovery was accelerated by your friendship, your vists and your assistance.
I’m forever grateful. I hope you can take some pride and credit for whatever I accomplish in life. None of this would have been possible without you.
If you ever find yourself feeling low please remember my love for you. Remember that you actually once saved someone in a desperate situation. You helped me avoid a deep depression by lifting me, sometimes literally, out of isolation. You are a heroic friend.
If, God forbid, you find yourself in need, I hope I can be as great to you as you were to me.
Love always,
John
Love you, too, JC! I can’t imagine New York without you in it. I’m grateful for your quick and lasting friendship. You are one of a kind!
