Epix, a new premium movie channel backed by MGM, Paramount Pictures, and Lions Gate, is expected to debut as a subscription-based on-demand Web site in May, months before its traditional TV launch in October. The new channel will launch with major hits like THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON, IRON MAN and other movies, and eventually produce original programming and present live concert performances.
