These two performances — “Carpetbaggers” with Jenny Lewis, Zooey Deschanel & Elvis Costello followed by “Go Away” with Jenny and Elvis — may be my single favorite moment from the entire season.
Incidentally, my desire to share this clip with you is only marginally stronger than my ire at finding the most recent episode of Spectacle all chopped up into easily (and illegally) redistributed segments on YouTube.
While I’m sharing, Pitchfork and Stereogum have nice little write-up about Wednesday night’s episode, the latter of which includes all 3 choppety-chopped segments. Oh, and contrary to Vulture’s post, there are still two more episodes left this season.
