Production of HBO’s In Treatment may move back to California if Governor Paterson doesn’t extend the Film & TV Tax Credits:
‘Not knowing what’s happening here is scary for them,’ Leight says of his crew, all of which are New Yorkers hired recently when the show moved its production from Los Angeles-specifically because of the tax credits.
The City and State of New York collected $2.7 billion in taxes from movie and television productions in 2007. Keeping production here is good for entertainment industry, as well as restaurants and real estate. Please sign the petition to continue funding the New York State Tax Credit program for television and motion pictures.
