Legendary author Judy Blume — yes, that Judy Blume — donated a signed copy of her classic novel ‘Forever’ to the “How to Lose Your Virginity” Kickstarter campaign!

Rather than hold on to it for ourselves (and believe me, we were tempted!), we’re giving it away in a drawing as a very special thank you to our backers.

We will draw one lucky name from our backers who have pledged $100 or more. To enter the drawing, simply make a $100 or more pledge, or increase your existing pledge to $100 or more, by Friday at 6pm (NYC time). You can still select a pledge reward — the drawing is a bonus. We’ll post video of us drawing the lucky person’s name to our Kickstarter page on Friday night to announce the winner.

Left: Therese having a hard time parting with the book. Right: Judy Blume’s inscription!

Judy Blume wrote ‘Forever’ in 1975 because her daughter asked for a story about a teenage girl who loses her virginity and doesn’t die — and it quickly became one of the most banned books in America! Judy has been an anti-censorship activist ever since. Therese & Lisa both grew up with Judy Blume — Therese remembers spending Grade 6 passing around her books from girl to girl.

And now a signed copy of ‘Forever’ could be yours for your pledge of $100 or higher. The contest closes tomorrow at 6pm EDT, so if you’ve been thinking of pledging, now is the time!

Thank you for your support!
Therese, Lisa & Team Trixie Films

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MATT STERLING

- Matt used to do stand up comedy

- Matt was my (Steve Taylor’s) first intern at Squint Entertainment

- Matt talks faster than you

- Matt created our awesome trailer after a high end professional trailer house failed three times

- Matt is the finest editor of his generation. Of this I am certain.

* I’ll contribute sixth Thing to Know About Matt Sterling: for the 2+ years we worked together, he ate the same salad every day, unless we went out for a department mean, in which case he ordered a burger, plain.

DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD | Robert Redford To Curate Series Of Independent Films On Sundance Channel

DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD | Robert Redford To Curate Series Of Independent Films On Sundance Channel:
My latest project was announced today…

Casting fashion videos is easy when you’ve got fashionable...

Casting fashion videos is easy when you’ve got fashionable friends like Chelsa. Unless you’re a member of the ‘lucky-sperm club,’ as Donald Trump put it (and he should know), you start out at a socio-economic disadvantage which the escalator steps of the past––going to college, working hard, setting aside money for the future––no longer address, because the escalator is broken. Steady income doesn’t cut it anymore. Dual incomes barely cut it anymore. For underdog opportunists, there’s still money to be made, but on the sly, beneath the radar, practically off the grid, through the underground economy. Meth cooking, pot dealing, prostitution––that’s where ingenuity and entrepreneurship flourish on cable TV, the networks unwilling to go that lawbreaking route with their protagonists.”

- James Wolcott, someone who’s POV I don’t often agree with, breaking down “Prime Time’s Class Warfare” in the April 2012 issue of Vanity Fair.

props from the shoot I just finished (sadly, no leftovers)...

props from the shoot I just finished (sadly, no leftovers) (Taken with instagram)
